Given and excellent rating from visitors, the main highlight of the park is gorgeous waterfall. There are many lakes and trails, and the park is bicycle friendly, as well. There are plenty of things to do for kids as well as adults.
This park has a ‘serenity’ to it that many parks do not have. This is a must-see for anyone visiting Minneapolis.
- Minneapolis Skyway System
Minneapolis is well known for its harsh winters. The skyway system is the best way to get around town, not only for visitors, but people who work use the skyway all of the time, also. At any time of the year, you will stay warm and dry while visiting.
Connecting to many retail shops, coffee shops, and just the beautiful view of downtown Minneapolis, you really can’t pass this up. It not only connects to stores, but it also connects to many office buildings, banks, etc. The skyway is definitely a must for visitors and newcomers alike.
- Escape MSP
This attraction has actually made national news. It is essentially a ‘game’ where you are on a mission, teamwork is a must. You have a certain amount of time to find the ‘secret item’ and escape. Fun for all ages over 10, and hundreds of visitors have given it an excellent rating.
People have gone to Minneapolis to visit, but they have gone back just to play Escape MSP.
- Minneapolis Tours
The first one is Norseman Distillery. Tasting/Tour events can be easily scheduled, and usually last for about an hour. You will be able to go through the distillery, seeing how the different spirits are made. They are all hand-crafted. You also be able to sample their different spirits. There are over 20 different kinds.
The second is the Magical History Tour. This is actually rated #1 in the top sightseeing lists for Minneapolis. In this amazing tour, you will ride a Segway to view the Minneapolis Riverfront. You will learn the fascinating history from 10,000 BC to today. You will be led by a professional tour guide, and you will stop at many historical sites.
